Arthur "Art" C. Wells Jr.

Arthur “Art” C. Wells Jr., 73, of Brownsville, passed away at home on January 20th, 2025. Art was born on December 18th, 1951 in Brownsville, to the late Arthur C. and Dorothy J. (Elliott) Wells.

Art was a member of the Amend Gun Club and the Nixon Gun Club. Art was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors. Art was the most loving husband, father, and grandfather to his family, of whom will miss him dearly.

Surviving to cherish Art’s memory; his significant other Donna Strickler of Uniontown PA, his daughter Nicole (Joseph) Wells Berkich of Daisytown PA, his sons Aaron (Georgeann) Wells of West Newton PA and Curtis (Jade) Wells of Richeyville PA. Art’s stepchildren; Patricia Walsh, Thomas Strickler Jr., and Raѐchel Strickler, his grandsons; Conner Kennedy and Liam Kennedy of Daisytown PA, his step-grandchildren; Sean, Matthew, Margaret Rose, Andrew, and William. Art’s brother Ronald (Jody) Wells of Uniontown PA, his sister Pam (Rodney) Rhoads of Wake Forest NC, his brother Joseph (Ruthann) Wells of Brownsville PA, and sister Lisa Wells Briscoe of Smock PA, and his aunts Shirley, Mary, and Lois.

In addition to his parents, Art is preceded in death by his sisters Bonnie Trent and Cindy Kurtz.

Friends and family will be received from 2:00 to 6:30pm, at which time the funeral service will begin inside the funeral home with Pastor Rodney Johnson officiating, on Thursday, January 23rd, 2025 at NOVAK-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA 15417.
