Antoinette "Nettie" Marie Talbert, 89, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Generations Elder Care, Smock, PA.
She was born October 12, 1923 in Thompson 1, PA, the daughter of Harmen W. and Ruth Elva (Haines) Talbert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Theodore Talbert.
Nettie joined the Navy after graduating from high school. She then went to work as a clerk for a few local businesses including the A&P, Sears and Brownsville General Hospital. She also worked as a telephone operator at one time.
She will be sadly missed by her sister, Norma Riefer, Brownsville, PA; her cousins, Gwendolyn Metzner and husband Oliver, Carl Talbert, James Talbert, Joseph Nelson and Lorraine Mazzocco and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and Wednesday, November 7, 2012 until 11:00 AM the hour of service with Rev. Steven Morganti officiating.
Interment will follow in the Redstone Cemetery, Brownsville, PA.
