Ann R. Lawrence, 88, of Brownsville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Peroni Personal Care Home in Uniontown, PA.
She was born July 23, 1927 in Juniata, PA, the daughter of John and Amelia (Zubovic) Reskovac. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, John Michael, Nick and George; and two sisters, Mary and Helen.
Ann was a member of the Historic Church of St. Peter in Brownsville. She worked various jobs throughout her life including, a cook on the riverboat, hospital admissions clerk, secretary/bookkeeper for Assad Iron and Metals, Inc. and she volunteered her time at Crosskeys Soup Kitchen in Brownsville.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Joseph Wayne Lawrence, Knoxville, TN; brother, Paul Reskovac, New Jersey; nine nieces and nephews, George Reskovac and wife Shirley, Uniontown, PA, Paulette Ann Hughes, Uniontown, PA, Barbara Janos Morin, Virginia, Amy Reskovac, Uniontown, PA, Patty Majors, Monaca, PA, Marie Davis, New Brighton, PA, Eileen Woltemath, Missouri, Richard Reskovac, New Jersey, and Katherine Janos, Grindstone, PA; granddaughter, Sherry; great grandchildren, Blake and Lauren; and special friends and caregivers, Pastor Malen Stump and wife Anna.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA, on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 2-8 PM. A Blessing Service will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 9:30 AM in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in the Historic Church of St. Peter, Brownsville, PA with the Rev. Father James Petrovsky as celebrant.
Entombment will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park, Chapel of Peace in Brier Hill, PA.
A Wake service will be held on Friday at 3PM in the funeral home.
Memorial Donations can be made in Ann's name to a charity of your choice.
