Sofia Y. (Yankosky) Tokar

Sofia Y. Tokar, 93, of Washington, Pa and formerly of Brownsville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017.

She was born April 4, 1924, in Fallowfield, PA, the daughter of John and Lydia (Yagoszewski) Yankosky.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Andrew F. Tokar, son David Tokar and two brothers, Mike and Edward Yankosky.

Sofia will be sadly missed by her son, Daniel Tokar; daughter Nancy Tokar; two granddaughters, Jennifer Laskosky and Aubrey Tokar; three grandchildren, Caden and Chloe Laskosky and Madeline Tokar; and several nieces and nephew.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA on Monday, July 10, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.  A Blessing service will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Father Alvin Cabungcal officiating.

Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
