Richard "Rich" Geletei

Rich lived his life with no regrets and passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2019, with his loving wife, Robin, of 23 years and his faithful companion, Tinker, at his side.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Ladayni Geletei and Mike Geletei; sisters, Shirley Geletei Basile and Helen Geletei Herre; aunt, Ethel Zimmerman and Nittany Lion his bestest buddy for 16 years.

In addition to his wife, Robin, he is survived by his step daughter, Monica Virgilio and husband Bryan; brother, Michael and wife Angie;  sister, Kathy Bojtos and husband David; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Saxon, Davis Basile, Ashley Bagwell Herre, Allison Herre, Myranda and Haylee Geletei; great nieces and nephews, Mackenzie, Olivia, Brody, Talen and Barrett; and OAG family, Colleen, Bee, Jack, Kenny, Tidbit and Pox.

Richie had a free-spirited soul. He lived his life carefree and moment to moment. He took risks and did not conform to a structured lifestyle.  He had an artist’s hand and heart.  He was exceptionally talented with a pencil.  His drawings were nothing short of spectacular.  He was a lover of nature and he appreciated beauty in all forms.  His love for his family and his dog, Nittany, was endless.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA on Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a local animal shelter of your choice.
