Michael Martinko Obituary

Michael B. Martinko, 85, of Brownsville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at home.

He was born September 12, 1933 in Edenborn, PA, the son of Michael and Julia Martinko. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Joe, Paul and Steve and two sisters, Vilma Kotcho and Katie Tresky.

Michael worked for J & L Steel for 35 years. He served his country in the United States Army and was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 48 years, Dorothy (Uhall) Martinko, daughters, Dena Mangosh and husband Eric, PA, Michelle Broadwater and husband Mark and Lisa Martinko both of Ohio; step daughters, Cindy Assad, Donna Thomas and Cluck and Rose Rutherford and husband Larry, all of PA; granddaughter, Erika Lynn Keffer, PA; siblings, Helen Martinko, Ed Martinko, Mary Edward, Bill Martinko and Christine Shiring and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA on Friday, April 19, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be private for the family.
