Leroy W. Bair

Leroy W. Bair, 82, of Brownsville, PA, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017.

He was born January 3, 1935, the son of Edison and Marie (Farabaugh) Bair.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta (Rainey) Bair; sisters, Alva Harris and Alberta Fields; brothers, Robert and Eugene Bair, and brother in law, Anthony Shemansky.

Leroy graduated from California Area High School in 1953.  He served his country in the United States Army.  After the Army, he went to work for US Steel as a crane operator, upon his retirement from there, he went to work driving bus for Ricco’s in Brownsville, PA.

He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Dorothy Marie Bair, Uniontown, PA; brother, Edwin Bair and wife Virginia, Centerville, PA; two sisters, Loretta Crone and husband Joe, Long Branch, PA and Darlene Shemansky, Richeyville, PA and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA, today, June 19, 2017 from 2-8 PM. Prayers of transfer will be held at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the Historic Church of St. Peter, Brownsville, PA with Rev. Father Timothy Kruthaupt as celebrant.

Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
