Monoaka Morris

Monoaka Morris, 96, of Brownsville, passed away peacefully on February 26th, 2024, with her family by her side. Born on May 25th, 1927, in Wyatt, West Virginia, Monoaka was the daughter of the late Joseph and Retha (Carter) Morris.

A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be sadly missed by many.

Surviving to cherish Monoaka’s memory; her 10 children, son, Jason (Mona) Fisher, daughter Beverly Fisher, daughter Holly (Jason) Machosky, daughter Bonnie (Howard) Martin, daughter Susan (Bob) Clark, daughter Debbie Fillapone, daughter Rheatha Thomas, son Mike Fisher, son Ralph (Diana) Fisher and son James Fisher. Along with her loving brother Russel (Terry) Morris, 36 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Monoaka is preceded in death by her son Paul Fisher, her daughter Cindy Esposito, brother Virgil, and her two sisters Bonnie and Ruby.

Friends and family will be received from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm on Friday, March 1st, 2024 at NOVAK-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA 15417. Funeral service will begin inside the funeral home at 11:00am on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024.
