Mary Pursglove Obituary

Mary Sarah Pursglove (nee Black), 100, of Bethel Park, formerly a long-term resident of Brownsville, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 26, 2024 at home with family by her side. She was born on June 2, 1923.

Preceding her in death were her parents, John and Helen Black, her husband, C. David Pursglove, sister, Gaynelle Ziglear, grandson Ross David Pursglove and son-in-law Clifford L. Fair, II.

Surviving is her daughter Cindy Fair of Bethel Park, son David (Cherie) Pursglove of Hiller, her four grandchildren, Lindsay (Jerry) Crable, Lauren (Kevin Cadora) Fair, David (Arielle Workman) Fair, Katey (Jordon) Fisher and six great-grandchildren, Landon Crable, Harper Crable, Lachlan Cadora, Connor Fisher, Maeva Cadora, and Addison Fisher.

Mary was a member of Fort Burd United Presbyterian Church of Brownsville and regularly regularly attended Bethel Presbyterian Church in Bethel Park.

Mary was a graduate of West Penn Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1944. She retired from nursing from Brownsville General Hospital where she was the Operating Room Supervisor.

In Lieu of flowers the family asked to please make a donation to Fort Burd United Presbyterian Church, 200 Thornton Road, Brownsville, PA 15417.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 17th, 2024 at Fort Burd United Presbyterian Church at 200 Thornton Road, Brownsville, PA 15417. Visitation will be from 12 to 1:00pm with the funeral service starting at 1:00pm Interment at Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
